Ontario Airport expects steady holiday traffic with 123,000 travelers
With the Independence Day holiday approaching, Ontario International Airport anticipates a modest uptick in passenger volume. Projections indicate roughly 122,987 travelers will pass through the Southern California hub between June 30 and July 5, marking a 0.6% increase over last year’s holiday figures as travel demand remains consistent.
Atif Elkadi, chief executive officer of the Ontario International Airport Authority, attributed the sustained interest to the airport's focus on convenience and network accessibility. Looking ahead, airport officials project serving more than 2.2 million passengers throughout the summer months. Currently ranked by J.D. Power as the second most popular mid-sized airport in the country, the facility continues to serve as a key aviation gateway, connecting the region to two dozen destinations across the U.S., Mexico, Central America, and Taiwan.
