Dark web leak exposes iPhone 18 Pro schematics

A massive data breach at Apple supplier Tata Electronics has spilled sensitive product designs onto the dark web. The files, leaked by the ransomware group World Leaks, include detailed schematics and component lists for the unreleased iPhone 18 Pro, exposing internal hardware configurations months ahead of their intended launch.

The security failure originated from an intrusion at the India-based manufacturing firm, which handles both assembly and component production for Apple. Security researchers confirmed that World Leaks published over 200,000 files following the breach, which also compromised proprietary data belonging to Tesla. Among the exposed documents are drop-test images of the iPhone 18 Pro, revealing a familiar three-camera array and the company's signature branding.

Beyond hardware imagery, the leak provides a granular look at the device's architecture. At least six files detail hundreds of individual components alongside their respective supply chains. Reports further indicate that the cache contains board layouts for both the Pro and Pro Max models, as well as technical data sheets for the anticipated A20 Pro chip. While Apple has expressed concern regarding the circulation of this sensitive information, the company has yet to provide an official statement on the extent of the impact.
