Enbridge Pledges $2.5 Million to Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library

As the United States marks its 250th anniversary, energy infrastructure giant Enbridge has committed a $2.5 million founding gift to the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, North Dakota. The contribution arrives just as the institution prepares for its official July 4, 2026, opening in the Badlands.

The capital will be directed toward the library’s specific sustainability and conservation goals. Beyond building operations, the project includes an extensive environmental restoration effort, with plans to reintroduce 400,000 native plants to the surrounding prairie ecosystem to bolster local biodiversity.

Greg Ebel, President and CEO of Enbridge, emphasized the synergy between the company’s corporate philosophy and Roosevelt’s legacy as a conservationist. The investment aligns with Enbridge’s broader shift in strategy, which recently hit a 25-year milestone in sustainability reporting. Having maintained operations in North Dakota for over 75 years, the company intends for this gift to reinforce its long-term presence in the region while supporting the library’s mission of promoting civic engagement and resilience.
