LINC Investors Face Nov. 10 Deadline to Seek Lead Plaintiff Role

Investors who bought Lincoln Education Services Corporation securities between May 11 and Aug. 9, 2026, have until Nov. 10 to ask to lead a class action alleging the company misled them about converting student enrollments into class starts. The case follows a 24.93% stock drop after Lincoln reported second-quarter results.

The lawsuit, filed on behalf of investors who acquired Lincoln securities during the proposed class period, alleges Lincoln’s admissions process was not effectively turning enrollments into student starts. The complaint says the company experienced a significant decline in starts relative to enrollment and that positive statements about its business, operations and prospects were materially misleading or lacked a reasonable basis.

The complaint points to Lincoln’s Aug. 10, 2026, disclosure that student starts rose 1% year over year in the second quarter, while enrollment increased 9%. The company said fewer enrolled students than expected attended the first day of class and that changes in student decision-making had affected the conversion from enrollment to start. Lincoln said it had taken and would continue to take steps to address the trends.

After the news, Lincoln shares fell $10.22, or 24.93%, to close at $30.77 on Aug. 10, on unusually heavy trading volume, according to the announcement from Robbins LLP, the firm seeking to represent investors.

Investors who suffered losses may be eligible to participate. A lead plaintiff is appointed by the court to represent the class, but seeking that role is not required to share in any potential recovery. Investors who do not seek appointment may remain absent class members if the case proceeds and is resolved successfully. Robbins LLP said it represents investors on a contingency fee basis. The firm’s announcement says investors can contact it for information about the case.
