The HomeView is available for preorder now ahead of its November 13th launch. Customers choose between a base model featuring a custom down-firing woofer and two passive radiators, or a wall-mounted configuration that sacrifices the speaker hardware for a flush aesthetic. Both versions retail for the same $299 price point.
Apple Preorders Open for HomeView Smart Display
A seven-inch squircle display mounted on a speaker base, the new HomeView enters the smart home market at $299. Designed as a central hub for Apple’s ecosystem, the device aims to bridge the gap between wall-mounted command centers and high-fidelity audio performance in time for the holiday season.

Integration with the broader Apple hardware lineup defines its utility. When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, the display leverages natural-language voice processing to surface information from emails and messages. Equipped with Thread and Matter connectivity, the device functions as a primary controller for smart home peripherals alongside its native capabilities for FaceTime, music playback, and recipe management.
