The new griddle units, available in 32- and 38-inch formats, feature 8-mm-thick 304 stainless steel surfaces. By opting for this food-grade material, the manufacturer aims to eliminate the labor-intensive seasoning processes required by traditional carbon steel, focusing instead on rust resistance and heat retention. The 38-inch model offers 582 square inches of cooking surface, while the 32-inch version provides 468 square inches. Both units include independently controlled heat zones, allowing for simultaneous preparation of varied dishes.
Range Outdoor Living Scales Up Kitchen Lineup with Built-In Griddles
Homeowners seeking versatile backyard cooking now have expanded options as Range Outdoor Living integrates stainless-steel griddles across its entire kitchen portfolio. The company is also debuting the Edgemont Cove, an 18-foot curved system that consolidates a grill, pizza oven, and flat-top griddle into a single, cohesive outdoor space.

Range Outdoor Living, a division of Backyard Discovery, is positioning these additions as a way to simplify the premium outdoor kitchen market. Cody Fox, CEO of Backyard Discovery, noted that the company maintains flat pricing regardless of which appliances a homeowner selects, removing the friction of upgrade costs. The Edgemont Cove, priced at $14,999, serves as the flagship for this strategy, featuring an integrated refrigerator, stowaway sink, and nearly 12 linear feet of engineered stone countertop. The system is designed to be shipped as a complete, pre-engineered unit, avoiding the complexities of traditional custom construction projects.
