The showcase, supported by the Futian District government and the Bay Area Sustainable Fashion Alliance, emphasized the creative output of a region now home to four of China’s top ten high-end womenswear labels. Dan Wang, president of the alliance, noted that the event serves as a bridge for cultural exchange between the Greater Bay Area and global fashion capitals.
Futian Designers Bring Shenzhen Aesthetics to Milan Fashion Week
A convergence of heritage and modern design took center stage at Milan’s Rotonda della Besana on September 22, as three prominent Chinese brands—Laurèl, IDPAN, and YINER—unveiled their Spring/Summer 2027 collections, signaling a growing integration between Shenzhen’s industrial fashion hub and the European luxury market.

Each brand approached the season with a distinct focus on the intersection of technology and tradition. Laurèl leaned into its Munich-rooted Bauhaus heritage, utilizing architectural tailoring to explore historical references. IDPAN centered its collection on the value of human craftsmanship in an era of automation, while YINER drew from organic motifs, incorporating natural fibers and stone-inspired textures to define contemporary femininity. This international appearance marks the third consecutive year Futian brands have integrated into the global fashion calendar, reflecting a broader strategy to position the district as a central node in the high-end garment trade.
