Huawei Debuts Intelligent RAIL 2.0 at InnoTrans 2026
At the InnoTrans 2026 exhibition in Berlin, Huawei introduced its Intelligent RAIL 2.0 framework, a suite of 20 scenario-based solutions designed to modernize global rail infrastructure. The launch, supported by the International Union of Railways and UITP, targets critical shifts in safety, predictive maintenance, and digital logistics across international rail networks.
Industry leaders at the event underscored the urgency of standardizing AI integration. Jean-Michel Evanghelou of the UIC identified digital foundations as the primary requirement for operators, while UITP representatives highlighted a new joint report with the China Association of Metro detailing how AI-driven automation improves operational safety. Huawei currently supports over 300 urban rail lines spanning 180,000 kilometers, positioning this latest iteration as a core component of its global "platform + ecosystem" strategy.
