The membership with the world’s largest equity derivatives clearing organization allows Dorman Trading to provide significant cost and operational efficiencies for market participants. MIAX Chairman and CEO Thomas P. Gallagher stated that the milestone supports the firm's broader strategy to reduce friction for clients trading financial futures. The capital injection brings the FCM’s adjusted net capital to approximately $68 million as of August 31, 2026, providing the necessary liquidity to scale operations and support a broader client base.
MIAX Boosts Dorman Trading with OCC Membership and Capital Injection
Dorman Trading, the futures commission merchant owned by Miami International Holdings, has secured clearing membership with The Options Clearing Corporation. This move, paired with a $40 million capital infusion, aims to streamline trading for clients accessing Bloomberg equity index futures on the MIAX Futures exchange.

MIAX Futures began trading Bloomberg equity index products—including Tini B100, Tini B500, and B500 Index Futures—on May 17, 2026. This latest expansion of the FCM's capabilities is intended to bolster the exchange's competitive position in the derivatives market by lowering the operational burdens typically associated with clearing these specific financial instruments.
