The partnership marks a strategic effort by Underdog to automate monitoring procedures within its prediction market, which allows users to trade on sports and cultural outcomes. Nick Thompson, Chief Compliance Officer at Underdog Exchange, emphasized that the decision was driven by the platform's configurability and its established reputation among regulators. Thompson noted that the system allows the firm to tailor alerts to its specific market structure rather than forcing the business to conform to rigid software constraints.
Underdog adopts Eventus platform for prediction market surveillance
Underdog, the sports prediction market pioneer, has integrated the Eventus Validus platform to manage trade surveillance across its federally licensed exchange. By deploying this institutional-grade infrastructure, the company aims to establish rigorous regulatory oversight as it scales its operations following recent approval from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Eventus CEO Cameron Routh highlighted that the collaboration reflects the increasing scrutiny facing prediction markets, a rapidly expanding sector of the financial landscape. By embedding surveillance capabilities from the outset, Underdog seeks to maintain market integrity during periods of high growth. The Validus platform, which already services various traditional capital markets and digital asset firms, will now support Underdog’s ongoing expansion as the company seeks to build deeper trust with its user base and federal oversight bodies.
