The project, located at the junction of the Battle Mountain-Eureka and Getchell trends, is currently ramping up toward steady-state production. According to the feasibility study, the mine holds proven and probable reserves of 556,500 ounces of gold. The company expects the site to serve as a primary feed for its Lone Tree autoclave and carbon-in-leach plant, which is slated for commissioning by late 2027.
i-80 Gold Projects $598 Million NPV for Nevada Granite Creek Mine
With gold prices fluctuating, i-80 Gold Corp. has unveiled a feasibility study for its Granite Creek underground project in Nevada, projecting an after-tax net present value of $118 million at $2,750 per ounce, a figure that climbs to $598 million should spot prices sustain at $4,500 per ounce.

Company leadership emphasized that the study reflects an expanded resource base and an 8.5-year mine life, despite recent mining depletion. Richard Young, President and CEO, noted that the project is central to the company’s transition into a mid-tier producer. By shifting from third-party toll milling to its own refurbished facility, i-80 Gold anticipates a significant reduction in processing costs between 2028 and 2032. The operation currently utilizes an underhand drift and fill mining method, with ongoing drilling programs targeting further resource growth in the South Pacific, Rangefront, Otto, and Ogee zones.
