Footprint Secures $25 Million to Scale AI Compliance Platform

With financial crime evolving alongside generative technology, New York-based Footprint has raised $25 million in a Series B round to expand its agentic AI operating system. Led by QED Investors, the funding will fuel a push into the West Coast market and a significant expansion of the company’s engineering and sales divisions.

The capital injection supports the continued development of Percy, an AI-driven platform designed to automate complex risk and compliance workflows. Unlike traditional rules-based systems, Percy functions as an autonomous analyst capable of executing investigations, documenting audit trails, and generating reports in plain English. By moving away from rigid programming, Footprint aims to help banks and fintechs keep pace with the rising volume of sophisticated fraud.

Beyond Percy, the funding bolsters the company’s Trust Fabric, an infrastructure layer that creates a unified organizational memory for financial institutions. This system links data across KYC, sanctions, and transaction monitoring, allowing firms to detect fraud rings that often slip through manual reviews. The platform currently serves a client base that includes FDIC and OCC-regulated banks alongside fintech leaders like Bilt, Nuvei, and MoonPay. With these resources, the firm intends to solidify its presence in San Francisco while scaling its infrastructure to meet the demands of enterprise-level financial operations.
