The new route leverages the significant commercial ties between the United States and North Rhine-Westphalia, which hosts approximately 1,700 American companies. Christian Vernet, President and CEO of La Compagnie, described the expansion as a natural progression for the carrier’s all-business-class model. The service will utilize the Airbus A321neo LR, offering an intimate cabin configuration with fully flat beds and high-speed connectivity.
Düsseldorf Airport’s leadership views the partnership as a validation of the region’s economic gravity. Lars Redeligx, CEO of the airport, noted that the specialized product directly addresses the needs of business travelers who prioritize efficiency and comfort when crossing the Atlantic. Beyond corporate travel, the route provides a gateway for leisure passengers looking to access the Rhineland’s cultural and historical sites, as well as convenient transit options for travelers from the Netherlands and Belgium.
