Lenovo’s 10mm AeroBlade Concept Dumps Fans for Solid-State Cooling
Shedding the bulk of traditional cooling systems, Lenovo’s new 14-inch Project AeroBlade concept pushes laptop design into new territory. By integrating Frore’s AirJet technology, the device measures under 10mm in thickness and weighs less than 830 grams, effectively challenging the physical limitations of current high-performance thin-and-light hardware.

Despite the engineering breakthrough, Frore’s AirJet technology remains largely experimental in the consumer market. While the company has previously showcased the tech in prototypes ranging from mini PCs to handheld gaming consoles like the Steam Deck, it has yet to see widespread adoption in mass-produced commercial hardware. Lenovo's IFA 2026 concept serves as the most significant attempt yet to bring this solid-state cooling architecture into a familiar, ultra-portable laptop form factor.
