Wahl Enters Head-Shaving Market with New Baldscaper Tool

For over a century, Wahl has defined men’s grooming through its electric clippers, but the Sterling-based company is now pivoting toward the specialized needs of the bald community. The new Baldscaper Head & Body Shaver marks the brand’s first dedicated tool engineered specifically for those who maintain a clean-shaven scalp.

The device features a four-head shaving system designed to improve coverage and speed. According to the manufacturer, this configuration provides 50% more contact with the scalp and 15% more power than conventional rotary shavers. The tool utilizes stainless-steel floating blades that contour to the head, supported by an ergonomic grip meant to increase maneuverability during use.

Functionality for the Baldscaper includes a waterproof chassis for wet or dry shaving and a battery capable of 90 minutes of runtime. Wahl has also integrated practical features such as an LED battery indicator, a travel lock, and a removable head for sanitation. Zach Wyer, Senior Director of U.S. Marketing at Wahl, noted that the product aims to match the company’s traditional performance standards with the specific requirements of daily head grooming. The shaver is currently available through the company’s website and Amazon, with a wider retail rollout scheduled for later this year.
