Users can now sync app icons and widgets with wallpaper-derived color tints, an optional theme that functions alongside standard Android Dynamic Colors. Beyond visual adjustments, the update introduces a "Gooey" and "Micrographics" clockface for the lockscreen, alongside system-wide quality-of-life improvements. Centralizing the hardware's distinctive light patterns, the new Glyph app provides a singular interface for all lighting controls.
The OS update also integrates several new utility tools, including the "Away Time" widget for digital wellbeing and a "Collector" widget that converts item photos into interactive icons. Productivity features see an expansion with Essential AI updates, including support for Model Context Protocol and improved on-device app building. While the update will reach most modern Nothing handsets by January 2027, the Phone 1, Phone 2, and CMF Phone 1 will not receive this software transition.
