The capital infusion arrives as industry data highlights the fiscal and social benefits of on-site support. Research from the Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future indicates that properties integrating resident services experience 24% lower rent arrears and 26% higher net operating income. For True Ground, the funding scales a model that already supports 25 staff members tasked with navigating health, financial, and career-related needs for families in high-cost housing markets.
Vivmark Residential Pledges $1.5 Million to True Ground Housing Partners
Vivmark Residential has committed $1.5 million over four years to support True Ground Housing Partners, aiming to bolster resident services across the Washington, D.C. region. This renewed partnership, announced August 25, 2026, seeks to provide 6,400 residents with resources designed to ensure long-term housing stability and community wellbeing.

"This is affordable housing infrastructure," said Marquan Jackson, Vice President of Resident Services at True Ground. The organization currently manages a portfolio with a stated goal of reaching 7,500 affordable homes by 2029. By pairing development with these services, True Ground intends to mitigate the volatility often faced by low-income renters. Vivmark Residential, formed through the merger of AvalonBay Communities and Equity Residential, views the investment as a strategic extension of their existing long-term relationship with the nonprofit.
