InnovAsian Breaks Ground on First U.S. Chicken Processing Plant
Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders joined executives in Jonesboro, Arkansas, this week to break ground on a new chicken processing facility for InnovAsian. The project, led by construction firm Gray, represents the first domestic poultry investment for the company’s parent organization, Japan’s Nichirei Corporation, as it expands its North American footprint.
"This groundbreaking marks a significant milestone for InnovAsian and Nichirei as we invest in the future of Jonesboro," said Joe Kent, President and CEO of InnovAsian. The company expects the plant to create a substantial number of local jobs once operational. With over 100 personnel expected on-site during peak construction, the project is currently slated for completion in the spring of 2028.
