Having started her career launching the bank’s first in-store branch in Conroe, Texas, Mayrant has been central to the strategy that scaled Woodforest from a local operation into a national retail presence across 17 states.
Julie V. Mayrant Named CEO of Woodforest National Bank
After three decades of steering the institution’s retail expansion, Julie V. Mayrant has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at Woodforest National Bank. Her appointment, effective July 15, 2026, signals a commitment to the bank's long-standing employee-owned model as it manages a network of over 740 branches.

Most recently serving as President and Chief Community Banking Officer, Mayrant managed the retail division and expanded the bank’s wealth management and commercial capabilities. A Sam Houston State University graduate, she holds an Executive MBA from Texas A&M University and maintains a heavy presence in regional civic life, including serving as Chairman of the Board for Interfaith of The Woodlands. In her new capacity, she intends to prioritize the bank’s legacy of community engagement while navigating the evolving demands of relationship-based banking.
