The hardware initially charms with its compact footprint and a camera module that doubles as a kickstand. However, the experience quickly sours. During setup, the device runs noticeably hot, and the thermal issues persist even after a week of moderate use. Software integration remains the phone’s most significant hurdle. Mobile applications and web layouts are optimized for vertical rectangles, leading to aggressive cropping or awkward letterboxing on the square screen.
