AAHRPP Expands Oversight with Five New Global Accreditations
Five major research entities, including the Uniformed Services University and Merck Research Laboratories, have secured full accreditation from the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs. The move bolsters the organization's mission to enforce rigorous ethical safeguards across the global clinical trial landscape.
Beyond these new additions, the association confirmed the reaccreditation of 21 long-standing members, ranging from Johns Hopkins Medicine and the University of Michigan to the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center in Saudi Arabia. To maintain this standing, organizations must prove they have integrated comprehensive safety protocols and a culture of continuous oversight into their clinical operations. This regulatory benchmark now spans research programs across 16 countries, serving as a critical differentiator for entities navigating the complexities of international scientific collaboration.
