Skanska Secures £282 Million Deal for London Office Tower

A 23-storey office tower is set to rise near Liverpool Street Station as Skanska finalizes a £282 million contract with AshbyCapital. The project, located at 55 Old Broad Street, marks a significant addition to the City of London’s financial district and will be included in the company's second-quarter order bookings.

The development will yield 25,000 square meters of premium workspace along with 1,400 square meters dedicated to retail and dining facilities. Skanska is tasked with the full construction scope, which encompasses all mechanical, electrical, and public health engineering systems required for the high-rise structure.

Beyond the primary tower, the agreement includes a comprehensive refurbishment of the adjacent five-storey building at 65 Old Broad Street. Work on the site is scheduled to commence in October 2026, with the entire project slated for completion by late 2029.
