The new peripheral, branded as the Sixfab AI HAT+, utilizes DEEPX’s ultra-low-power architecture to manage complex AI models locally. By moving computation away from the cloud and onto the device, the board provides a sustainable path for developers to deploy real-time Physical AI in energy-constrained environments. Roger Thornton, Director of Applications at Raspberry Pi, noted that the collaboration offers a highly efficient route for enterprise developers to scale their edge projects.
DEEPX and Sixfab Bring NPU Power to Raspberry Pi 5
Seoul-based semiconductor firm DEEPX has partnered with Sixfab to launch an AI acceleration board for the Raspberry Pi 5. By integrating proprietary NPU technology, the new hardware aims to bring high-performance, low-power inference to edge applications ranging from industrial robotics to smart agriculture.

To support the hardware, DEEPX is launching a suite of developer-friendly SDKs designed for seamless model compilation and deployment. Lokwon Kim, CEO of DEEPX, stated that the company views this release as a strategic move to democratize AI, shifting the focus from massive data centers to the billions of industrial endpoints and robots operating in the real world. The boards are expected to reach global distribution channels shortly, marking the beginning of a broader technical cooperation between the two organizations to establish an enterprise-grade platform for edge computing.
