Yes/Boston Selects 12 Startups to Revamp Regional Food Systems

Twelve startups have been selected for the inaugural Yes/Boston cohort, an initiative aimed at transforming urban food security and health outcomes. Chosen from 131 applicants, these innovators will gain access to local infrastructure, research support from Tufts University, and global mentorship to scale their solutions within the city’s complex economic landscape.

The program, managed by the local accelerator MassChallenge, targets four primary areas: food production, logistics, nutritious meal access, and digital health navigation. By integrating these startups into Boston’s existing network of healthcare providers, city officials, and private sector partners, the initiative aims to establish the region as a primary testbed for food-as-health innovation. The selected companies include BioBlends, EatLove, EatWell Meal Kits, Family Dinner, FoodCopia, Gyre Energy, Health in Her HUE, Matriark Foods, Morrissey Market, Mothership Materials, RevivBio, and ThriveLink.

Launched in February 2026 by the World Economic Forum, Yes/Boston mirrors the Yes/Cities framework currently operating in San Francisco. While the San Francisco model focuses on sustainability and infrastructure, the Boston effort prioritizes the intersection of nutrition and public health. Beyond local support, the participants will tap into the World Economic Forum’s UpLink platform, which connects entrepreneurs with global resources and investment opportunities. MassChallenge CEO Cait Brumme noted that the program focuses on providing founders with the necessary operational support to transition from conceptual technology to scalable, real-world deployment.
