The summit will convene at 167 North Green Street in the Fulton Market District, hosting over 500 participants, including investors, university researchers, and corporate executives. By targeting healthcare and life sciences, organizers intend to leverage the city's concentration of medical schools, hospitals, and pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities to foster commercialization.
Chicago Venture Summit to Focus on Healthcare and Life Sciences
Mayor Brandon Johnson and World Business Chicago have announced that the upcoming Chicago Venture Summit, scheduled for October 19–20, 2026, will center on the future of healthcare. The event aims to connect local startups with the growth capital and corporate partnerships necessary to scale within the region's fastest-growing employment sector.

Healthcare stands as a critical economic engine for the region, employing more than 552,000 people. In 2025 alone, Chicago-based healthcare startups secured $1.19 billion in growth capital, representing nearly 20% of all such investment in the area. This event serves as a platform for these companies to engage with strategic partners and secure the backing needed to maintain the region's status as a top-tier national healthcare hub. The gathering will also feature the Grainger Engineering Tech Startup Challenge, which provides a live stage for deep-tech entrepreneurs to pitch their ventures to potential investors.
