The ombre-style shirt features sun and moon iconography, a direct homage to the design the two professionals chose three years ago to mark their joint career path. For the young athletes heading to Gothenburg this July, the kit serves as a physical reminder of the camaraderie that defines the competition. Both Jusu Bah and Schröder, who recently ascended to the national squad and secured a UEFA Women’s Europa Cup victory, worked to infuse their personal experiences into the gear.
Swedish stars design kit for Gothia Cup youth tournament
Swedish national team players Monica Jusu Bah and Felicia Schröder have unveiled a new football kit for the Gothia Cup, drawing inspiration from the matching tattoos they got to symbolize their friendship. The jersey will be worn by participants in the Meet the World tournament, an SKF-backed qualifying event.

SKF, the primary sponsor of the Gothia Cup, uses the Meet the World initiative to facilitate global participation, covering 15 countries this year. The program supports diverse groups, including teams from India, France, and Italy, to join the broader tournament, which annually hosts nearly 2,000 teams. According to Rickard Gustafson, CEO of SKF, the project aims to foster lifelong connections beyond the pitch, mirroring the company’s broader focus on global collaboration.
