The new hardware ditches the proprietary power connectors of the past in favor of a universal USB-C port, alongside an additional USB-A port for peripherals. Analogue integrated both Bluetooth and low-latency 2.4GHz wireless connectivity directly into the chassis, removing the need for external controller dongles. Players can now power the consoles on remotely using a paired gamepad and swap game cartridges without needing to cycle the power, thanks to a streamlined menu system.
Analogue revives Super Nt and Mega Sg with wireless upgrades
Retro gaming enthusiasts can return to 16-bit classics with new hardware as Analogue unveils updated versions of its Super Nt and Mega Sg consoles. The refreshed units, dubbed the Super Nt Plus and Mega Sg Plus, replace aging connections with modern standards while maintaining original cartridge compatibility through FPGA technology.

While these units do not support 4K upscaling—a feature reserved for the upcoming Analogue 3D—they output at 1080p to preserve the aesthetic of classic 16-bit titles. Preorders for the consoles open on October 19th at 9AM PT, with each unit priced at $219.99. The company expects to begin shipping the devices to customers this December.
