The device, cataloged as PLB-520, functions by repositioning the socket to accommodate external gripping tools. By integrating this secondary grip point, mechanics and trade workers can apply significantly more force than a traditional ratchet setup typically allows. The robust design targets automotive professionals, diesel technicians, and home hobbyists who frequently contend with seized or difficult-to-reach hardware.

A working prototype is currently available, and the inventor has placed the design with the Philadelphia office of InventHelp.
