Athletica Sport Systems Establishes European Hub in Finland
With a deep-rooted hockey culture and a surge in multi-sport arena development, Finland has become the bridgehead for Athletica Sport Systems as the Canadian manufacturer officially enters the European market. The Waterloo-based company is planting its first international office in Vantaa to manage regional sales and technical support.

Athletica brings a significant pedigree to the region, having previously supplied equipment for Olympic Games, IIHF world championships, and various NHL events. According to CEO Andrew McRae, the move is designed to mirror the company’s North American service model, ensuring that European clients receive the same technical expertise and rapid support as their elite counterparts. The new Vantaa office will serve as the primary operational base for projects ranging from custom LED installations to comprehensive arena seating and safety upgrades.
