With a $400 million injection from W Group, Delaware-based startup SignSplit has emerged from stealth to build a marketplace for "signed data." The firm aims to bridge the gap between AI developers and human contributors by providing a technical framework for licensing personal data, creative work, and digital likenesses.

The company, founded in 2024 by Glib Denisov, operates as a Public Benefit Corporation designed to handle the provenance and consent requirements of future AI models. By establishing a verification layer, SignSplit allows robotics companies, researchers, and media platforms to access verified human input while ensuring participants receive direct compensation for their contributions.

CEO Alessandro Monterosso described the platform as a necessary infrastructure for a world where human experience and artificial intelligence are increasingly intertwined. W Group President Volodymyr Nosov noted that the scale of their investment—which values the startup at $1 billion—reflects the growing industrial demand for high-quality, ethically sourced data to train advanced systems. The capital will be used to support a global rollout of the platform's authentication technology.
