The ScoutPro system provides clinicians with a portable, CLIA-waived method for measuring tear osmolarity, a critical indicator for diagnosing dry eye disease. By consolidating diagnostic tools alongside their standard inventory of over 1,000 products, DryEye Rescue aims to streamline the procurement process for eye care practices. The device remains particularly relevant for pre-operative planning in cataract and refractive surgery, aligning with ASCRS guidelines that prioritize objective ocular surface evaluation.
DryEye Rescue Secures Exclusive U.S. Distribution for ScoutPro
Boca Raton-based DryEye Rescue has finalized an agreement to become the exclusive U.S. distributor for Bausch + Lomb’s ScoutPro diagnostic system. This expansion integrates the handheld osmolarity testing tool into the distributor's existing medical supply catalog, moving beyond the over-the-counter and prescription products previously handled by the firm.

Practical implementation for medical offices remains straightforward, as the system utilizes test cards interchangeable with first-generation TearLab technology. Practices can now manage their orders for ScoutPro and associated control solutions through the DryEye Rescue wholesale portal, which also offers support for obtaining CLIA Certificates of Waiver. National Sales Manager Ryan Grant is overseeing the rollout, with the company offering expedited fulfillment for qualifying orders.
