honeygrow Turns National Noodle Day Into a Week of Scavenger Hunts

Philadelphia-based fast-casual chain honeygrow is expanding National Noodle Day into a seven-day event, replacing the traditional single-day promotion with citywide scavenger hunts, surprise merchandise drops, and the debut of a data-driven report analyzing regional noodle consumption habits across its 80 locations.

The campaign, which launched September 30, features a series of hidden prize hunts across markets including Washington D.C., Boston, Cleveland, and Philadelphia. Clues regarding the locations of these rewards are being distributed via the company’s Instagram and TikTok channels. The week culminates on October 6 with a buy-one-get-one stir-fry offer available exclusively to rewards program members at all locations.

To mark the occasion, the company released its inaugural National Noodle Index, a study of ordering trends across its footprint. The data highlights distinct regional preferences: Philadelphia diners lead in requests for extra sauce, while New York and New Jersey customers prioritize spicy toppings. Meanwhile, Midwestern locations show a notable 35% preference for crispy additions. In Philadelphia, the celebration will feature a physical mascot, Big Nood, roaming the streets, with the UPenn restaurant serving as the primary headquarters for merchandise giveaways and photo opportunities throughout the day.
