Castrol pivots to integrated thermal management for data centers
As artificial intelligence and high-performance computing push cooling requirements to their limits, Castrol is moving beyond standalone fluids. The company has launched Castrol CORE, an end-to-end thermal management service designed to consolidate design, infrastructure, and maintenance under a single operational umbrella for data center operators.
Central to this strategy are cooling technologies validated by hardware leaders including NVIDIA and Intel, ensuring compatibility with next-generation AI infrastructure. To support this, Castrol leverages a global network of testing facilities in the UK, US, Germany, and China, bolstered by service providers in over 150 countries. Peter Huang, Global President of Data Centre and Thermal Management, noted that customers are seeking partners to solve complete thermal challenges rather than purchasing isolated products. The company is already executing proof-of-concept projects with major operators in China to demonstrate the viability of this integrated framework.
