Gen Launches AI Data Checker to Demystify Agentic Privacy
Nearly one in three desktop users now rely on AI agents to manage finances, plan travel, and research purchases, yet the data trails left by these autonomous services remain opaque. To bridge this transparency gap, Gen is launching a beta tool designed to audit how AI apps handle personal information.
This release expands Gen’s Agent Trust Hub, an initiative established in February to secure the agent lifecycle. Previous iterations included a purpose-built VPN for autonomous agents and the Sage security layer for Norton 360. According to Howie Xu, Chief AI & Innovation Officer at Gen, the shift toward highly personal AI assistance necessitates a higher standard of visibility. The company is positioning this utility as a foundational layer for users who want to leverage automation without sacrificing digital privacy. The AI Data Checker is currently available through Gen’s digital portal, alongside early access options for upcoming security tools.
