The new coverage targets four primary health conditions: cancer, heart attack, stroke, and advanced Alzheimer's disease. Unlike many traditional policies, this product maintains full benefit levels throughout the life of the policy, regardless of the insured's age. The offering is designed to integrate with major medical plans, specifically providing a buffer against high deductibles and the broader financial strain of unexpected health crises.
Assurity Targets Supplemental Market with Quick Issue Critical Illness
Lincoln-based Assurity Life Insurance Company has unveiled a streamlined critical illness product aimed at simplifying supplemental health sales. By focusing on a five-question application process for coverage ranging from $5,000 to $50,000, the firm seeks to help agencies capture revenue while addressing rising out-of-pocket medical costs for clients aged 18 to 64.

UnYoung Botelho, Executive Vice President of Individual Sales and National Accounts, noted that the product serves as a tool for agencies to expand per-client revenue without complicating existing workflows. The application process is managed through the company’s digital FastTrack platform, which aims to reduce administrative friction. Beyond domestic sales, the policy is also accessible to eligible foreign residents, broadening the potential market for producers.
