More than 25,000 New Yorkers joined the waitlist for Neko Health, which officially opened its first U.S. clinic today at 300 Lafayette Street in SoHo. Founded by Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, the company aims to shift the American healthcare model from reactive treatment to early, data-driven prevention.
Neko Health enters the U.S. market following a $700 million Series C funding round backed by investors including Mark Zuckerberg, Priscilla Chan, and Maria Sharapova. The company intends to scale rapidly, with plans to open additional locations in New York, Miami, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco. To ensure continuity of care, the clinic has established referral partnerships with major local institutions, including the Mount Sinai Health System and Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Members can also utilize HSA and FSA accounts to cover the cost of the scan.
