AquaAction Launches Michigan Blue-Tech Accelerator
Ten water-tech startups have been selected for the inaugural AquaEntrepreneur Michigan program, an initiative designed to accelerate the commercialization of freshwater solutions. Announced at the Michigan Blue Economy Summit, the program aims to bridge the gap between innovation and real-world deployment across the Great Lakes region.
This expansion marks AquaAction's first US-based operation, building on a track record that has seen 72 companies generate over CAD $260 million in revenue. Support for the cohort comes from a coalition of strategic partners, including the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the Great Lakes Water Authority. The initiative is bolstered by a Maritime Innovation Grant from the Michigan Mobility Funding Platform, ensuring that these startups have the infrastructure required to scale their operations within the state’s evolving blue economy.
