Starting September 23, coaches of girls' teams aged 13 to 18 can enter by posting a video on Instagram or TikTok detailing how their squad fosters a supportive environment. The campaign, titled Back Her Game, seeks to combat a trend identified by Dove research, which found that half of the girls who quit sports cite body-type criticism as a primary reason. Winners will receive new team kits, a specialized body confidence workshop, and the trip to the international tournament.
Kylie Kelce and Dove Launch Search for Girls' Sports Teams
Dove is launching a nationwide contest to reward a girls' sports team with a trip to the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 in Brazil. Partnering with coach and advocate Kylie Kelce, the beauty brand aims to highlight teams that prioritize joy and confidence over appearance-based pressure on the field.
Kylie Kelce, a longtime partner of the brand, emphasized that the initiative serves to validate the importance of belonging in youth athletics. The effort aligns with the broader Dove Self-Esteem Project, which provides evidence-based tools for coaches to help young athletes navigate body image challenges. Submissions for the contest remain open through October 4, 2026, with winners selected based on their ability to authentically showcase team spirit and player morale.
