Quality Care for Children secures $2 million for Atlanta childcare
A $2 million grant awarded to Quality Care for Children will expand the nonprofit’s BOOST Scholarship program, targeting working families in Clayton County and the City of Atlanta who struggle with the rising costs of high-quality early learning environments.
Ellyn Cochran, president and CEO of Quality Care for Children, noted that the investment serves as a stabilizer for the local workforce. By alleviating the financial burden of tuition, the program ensures parents can maintain employment while their children receive consistent care. This infusion of capital follows a productive 2025 cycle, during which the organization distributed $2.7 million in scholarships to 491 children, simultaneously providing essential revenue streams for 284 individual childcare providers.
