After more than 57 years under the Palmer family, London-based CIS Security has been acquired by Symera Partners. The transaction, involving the firm's existing management team, aims to provide capital and strategic resources to scale the UK's largest independent security provider while maintaining its long-standing operational culture.
For the Palmer family, the sale marks a transition out of ownership, allowing them to retire while keeping the business independent. Catton noted that selecting a partner with a shared commitment to long-term investment was critical for the next phase of development. Symera intends to focus on expanding service capabilities and technology integration, leveraging the existing foundations built during the Palmer era to secure further growth in the competitive UK market.
