Fitness International, which operates Club Studio, LA Fitness, and City Sports Club, emerged as a driving force behind this year's global charity run. The company accounted for 36% of all U.S. registrations, bringing more than 13,900 participants to the starting line. Their involvement helped the Wings for Life foundation raise approximately $10.8 million globally, with every dollar directed toward clinical studies aimed at restoring mobility.
Club Studio marks Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day nationwide
Gym members across the country are gathering on September 26 to recognize their collective contribution to spinal cord injury research. The event honors the community's participation in the 2026 Wings for Life World Run, an initiative that successfully funneled millions into the search for a cure for paralysis.

Jill Hill, President of Club Operations at Fitness International, described the upcoming awareness day as a chance to celebrate the tangible impact of their members' dedication. Beyond the celebrations, the clubs intend to keep the spotlight on the daily reality faced by millions living with spinal cord injuries. By hosting these community events, the organization aims to bridge the gap between fitness culture and the urgent medical mission to develop innovative treatments for long-term recovery.
