Kelun-Biotech to Present Landmark Sacituzumab Tirumotecan Data at ESMO

The upcoming congress, scheduled for October 23–27, will spotlight the drug’s performance across several aggressive malignancies. Central to the presentation are the OptiTROP-Lung04 and OptiTROP-Lung06 studies, which have secured coveted slots in the metastatic non-small cell lung cancer session on October 25. These trials evaluate the efficacy of the conjugate, also known as SKB264 or MK-2870, in both first-line treatment and post-EGFR-TKI progression scenarios.

Beyond lung cancer, the company will present findings from the TroFuse-005 study during the prestigious Presidential Symposium on October 26. This trial investigates the drug's impact on previously treated advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer. The breadth of data being shared reflects the drug’s development as a versatile platform targeting TROP2 on tumor surfaces. By utilizing a unique, bifunctional linker to deliver its topoisomerase I inhibitor payload, the molecule aims to optimize tumor cell destruction while leveraging a bystander effect to reach adjacent cancer cells.

Since licensing global development rights outside of Greater China to MSD in 2022, the therapy has seen rapid expansion. With four indications already approved and marketed in China—including specific applications for triple-negative breast cancer and non-squamous lung cancer—Kelun-Biotech continues to scale its registrational efforts. Currently, the company manages over 30 innovative drug projects, positioning its proprietary OptiDC platform as a cornerstone of its global oncology strategy.
