The new floor layout aims to streamline procurement for global buyers by grouping exhibitors based on end-to-end product requirements. The largest of these, the Low-Altitude Economy and Commercial Aerospace island, features a direct integration of eVTOL manufacturers like AutoFlight alongside upstream suppliers of superalloys and ceramic-matrix composites. This cluster approach extends across five additional sectors: New Energy, AI and Humanoid Robotics, Intelligent Equipment and Automotive, Biomanufacturing, and a specialized zone for AI-empowered materials and processing equipment.
CIIF 2026 Reshapes Material Sourcing with Scenario-Driven Islands
From October 12 to 16, 2026, the 26th China International Industry Fair will debut a radical shift in exhibition strategy at Shanghai’s National Exhibition and Convention Center. By abandoning traditional categorization, the New Material Industry Show introduces six specialized “Material Islands” designed to align raw material supply directly with downstream industrial applications.
Beyond the primary floor layout, the event introduces an AI Materials Zone and a Pilot Base Zone, the latter concentrating nearly 40 regional pilot-scale builders. Regional pavilions will further specialize the experience, with G60 focusing on advanced fibers and Baoshan highlighting metal technologies. The fair will also host the 10th Shanghai New Materials Industry Development Conference, where participants will examine strategic alignments with China’s 15th Five-Year advanced materials roadmap through a series of technical sessions and business matchmaking forums.
