The move positions the fire-resistant panels directly in Sacramento and Healdsburg, targeting the growing demand for resilient construction materials in high-risk zones.

The collaboration brings Arclin’s proprietary intumescent technology to the regional market, allowing contractors to integrate fire protection into standard framing workflows without adding secondary layers. By bypassing the need for extra fire-protection steps, the product aims to balance safety requirements with the efficiency needs of modern residential and multifamily projects.

Matthew Bruce, Arclin's Vice President of Sales, noted that the partnership leverages Capital Lumber’s established footprint to reach specifiers and contractors more effectively. The product is specifically engineered to meet California’s rigorous Chapter 7A requirements for Wildland-Urban Interface construction. Derek Cone, Vice President of Operations at Capital Lumber, added that the addition addresses the dual demand for high-performance materials and practical installation.

To further assist with large-scale projects, the inventory includes 8-foot and 10-foot panel lengths. The 10-foot option, introduced earlier this year, serves to minimize seams and waste in taller wall applications, helping to streamline labor time on site.
