Erin Andrews Headlines New Women vs. Cancer Awareness Campaign

ESPN broadcaster and cervical cancer survivor Erin Andrews is the face of a new national initiative launched by Mediaplanet. The campaign, which debuted in the Los Angeles Times on September 20, 2026, focuses on improving early detection rates and encouraging women to take a more proactive role in their healthcare.

The project gathers insights from prominent groups including the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, and the Milken Institute Women's Health Network. These organizations aim to demystify the evolving landscape of precision medicine while addressing the persistent gap in patient awareness regarding early warning signs.

Beyond the print edition, the campaign reaches communities through targeted distribution at advocacy events. The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition will circulate over 2,500 copies during its fall 'Together in TEAL' run/walk series. Simultaneously, the Foundation for Women's Cancer is utilizing the publication at its Patient & Advocate Education Forum in Washington, D.C. Shannon Ruggiero, senior director of health campaigns, emphasized that the initiative is designed to bridge the gap between complex research and personal advocacy, ensuring women feel equipped to navigate their own medical journeys.
