According to James Flynn, Chairman and CEO, retaining cash is currently the most prudent path to support long-term stockholder value. Lument Finance Trust Suspends Common Stock Dividends
Lument Finance Trust has halted its quarterly common stock dividend, starting with the payment originally slated for October 2026. The move marks a strategic pivot toward capital preservation, as the company asserts it has already met its mandatory REIT taxable income distribution requirements for the current calendar year.
While common shareholders face a suspension, the company remains committed to its preferred equity obligations. Lument Finance Trust declared a cash dividend of $0.4921875 per share for its 7.875% Cumulative Redeemable Series A Preferred Stock. This payment is scheduled for October 15, 2026, for shareholders of record as of October 1. Moving forward, the board intends to calibrate dividend policy based on liquidity, portfolio performance, and evolving capital requirements.
