The University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business has climbed to the 15th spot among U.S. public business schools in the 2026-27 Bloomberg Businessweek rankings. This four-place jump highlights the program’s growing influence, with national standing rising to 39th overall as the institution gains momentum across key performance metrics.

The climb reflects significant improvements in student experience and career preparation. Among public institutions, Haslam secured the 4th position for learning and networking, the 6th for entrepreneurship, and the 17th for compensation. Nationally, the program saw a notable 38-place surge in learning experience rankings compared to the previous year, while networking and entrepreneurship metrics also saw double-digit gains.

Mary Goss, executive director of graduate business programs, attributes these results to a curriculum that prioritizes immediate professional impact. By integrating real-world business challenges from corporate partners into the classroom, the program aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and executive leadership. Bloomberg’s assessment, which draws on data from nearly 5,000 recent graduates and hundreds of employers, highlights instruction quality and career outcomes as primary drivers for the college's improved standing.
