The collaboration operates under the Xishan-Tsinghua program, which mandates that enterprises define specific technical bottlenecks for university researchers to solve. For Centron, the focus is on the intricate variables of adhesive dispensing, where cycle times, dispensing volume, and substrate conditions must remain perfectly coupled to ensure product reliability in automotive and battery manufacturing.
Centron and Tsinghua University Partner on Industrial Dispensing R&D
At the 2026 Xishan Technology Transfer Conference in Wuxi, Centron formalized a research partnership with Professor Zhang Xiangyu’s team from Tsinghua University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, aiming to bridge the gap between academic fluid control theory and the high-stakes requirements of modern automated manufacturing production lines.

While Centron contributes its experience in automotive body shops and e-drive assembly, Tsinghua provides advanced engineering methods and precision fluid control expertise. This exchange moves research out of the laboratory and directly into factory-floor scenarios, allowing technical verification to occur under real production constraints. By integrating academic inquiry with industrial application, the partnership seeks to improve process consistency and traceability for manufacturers, shortening the development cycle for stable, scalable production solutions.
