NeuralTrust Named Pioneer in Gartner’s AI Application Security Ranking

Gartner has identified Barcelona-based NeuralTrust as a Pioneer in its inaugural Emerging Market Quadrant for AI Application Security. This recognition highlights the platform’s architectural approach to securing autonomous agents, marking it as the top-ranked European provider in a field dominated by rapidly evolving security requirements for large language models.

The Gartner Emerging Market Quadrant evaluates sectors still in formation, favoring vendors that demonstrate innovation over sheer market scale. Unlike traditional application security, the AI-specific market focuses on threats unique to autonomous systems, such as prompt injection, data exfiltration, and model manipulation. NeuralTrust distinguishes itself by integrating posture management, automated adversarial testing, and real-time runtime defense into a unified architecture, moving away from the fragmented point solutions common in early-stage tech markets.

Joan Vendrell, co-founder and CEO, noted that traditional security tools fail to address the risk surface introduced by modern AI agents. By providing a dedicated security layer, the company aims to bridge the gap between enterprise deployment and emerging threat vectors. With offices now established in London and New York, the firm is positioning itself to handle the specific regulatory and compliance obligations facing European enterprises, which often differ from U.S.-based requirements.

This designation follows a series of inclusions for the company in various 2026 Gartner Hype Cycles, covering areas from AI governance to infrastructure and data security. As enterprises continue to scale their use of AI agents, the company’s suite—comprising TrustGate, TrustGuard, TrustLens, and TrustTest—is designed to manage the full lifecycle of these applications from initial discovery to active defense.
