A2Gold Expands Nevada Foothold with New McIntosh Discovery
A2Gold Corp. has identified a new zone of gold mineralization at its Eastside project in Esmeralda County, Nevada, following a phase of reverse circulation drilling. The discovery, located 370 meters southwest of the existing McIntosh resource, confirms the effectiveness of using magnetic geophysical anomalies to guide exploration efforts.
Beyond the new discovery, drilling also pushed the boundaries of the known McIntosh resource. Hole ES-342 returned 0.20 g/t gold over 32 meters, extending the mineralization 86 meters to the southeast. CEO Peter Gianulis stated that the program successfully met its dual objectives of expanding current resources and identifying fresh targets. The company intends to follow up on these results as part of its broader strategy to evaluate high-grade potential within the Eastside epithermal system.
